Ford surprised everyone last Thursday announcing that the 2019 F150 Limited would be getting the Raptors 3.5 liter high output EcoBoost V6. The 3.5 HO is reated at 450HP and 510LB FT of torque, making the 2019 F150 Limited the most powerful mainstream half ton pickup you can buy.
Visually you can tell a 2019 F150 Limited apart from a 2018 model by the dual exhaust and new rear bumper with cut outs for the aforementioned dual exhaust.
Ford has gone a little further with the interior though. Most likely to combat the all new for 2019 GM Silverado/Sierra and the 2019 Ram 1500 which has been widely praised for its class leading interior. “It was important for us to get this interior just right as we continue to raise the bar for premium pickup trucks,” said Aileen Barraza, Ford color and materials manager. “The materials we chose to incorporate are authentic, distinctive and durable.”
The 2019 F150 Limited gets a Miko suede headliner, additional leather on the door panels above the arm rests giving you a soft place to rest your arm on the window sill, and new wood trim. “The gradated ash swirl trim is like something you see in a fine instrument,” said Barraza. “Each piece is hand-finished, and a halo around the edges with a heavily polished center really brings out the natural beauty of this wood.”
There is a new “Camel Back” two-tone leather and Fords multicontour massaging front seats are back as well. All F150 Limiteds have a laser etched plaque on the center console armrest with the trucks serial number.
The 2019 F150 Limited will be in showrooms later this year, stay tuned to Next F150 for all the latest news and information as it becomes available.
