Ford F-Series surpassed 70,000 trucks sold for the eighth consecutive month in October, on sales of 70,438 pickups; the decline versus year-ago levels is largely the result of fleet timing. Year-to-date F-Series commercial fleet sales are up 12.8%.
However, on the opposite of the equation the F-Series sales were down 7.9% over last October’s sales. Last October the brand had sold 75,974 units.
Transaction pricing continues to run at record levels for the F-Series trucks. Average transaction prices were about $47,300 per pickup. That is about $2,000 above the segment average.
With Ford’s passenger sales down 17.1%, the brand is looking even more so towards the future of its truck and SUV lineups more than ever.
