As we do at the end of every quarter, it is time to break down the full-sized truck sales market. This has been an interesting quarter with the emerging COVID-19 pandemic taking its toll on not only auto sales, but the economy as a whole. Even so, there were some big winners and losers in the full-sized truck market.

Q1 2020 Truck Sales U.S (5thGenRams)

In the U.S market Fords F-Series has taken a 13% sales hit down to 186,562 units sold compared to 214,611 through the first quarter of 2019. Sales of the Chevrolet Silverado have surged by 26% with 143698 sold through the first quarter of this year, taking the second place spot back from Ram. Ram sales are up 7% compared to the same time last year with 128,805 Ram trucks rolling off the lots. GMC was a big winner with a whopping 30.7% sales increase compared to Q1 2019 with 53,009 Sierras sold compared to 40,546 during the same period last year. Toyota Tundra sales continue to fall, down 13.7% compared to Q1 2019 while Nissan really took it on the chin with the Titan down 40.8% compared to the same period last year.
